Jana Morris, Executive Director was invited for an appearance on Larry Holmes "What the heck were they thinkin"
Recovery Revolution, Inc. was given the opportunity to go television because of the consistent support of Simply Wired. Larry Holmes invited Jana Morris the Executive Director of Recovery Revolution to speak addiction and the type of work Recovery Revolution does on a daily basis. Throughout the taping, Jana discussed many topics that are necessary for parents to know about their teenagers. Ms. Morris reported that many teenagers are getting high from their parent's medicine cabinet due to the high incidence of drugs such as DXM (Cough and Cold Medicine) and addictive prescription drugs such as benzodiaziapines (Valium, Xanex) and opiates (Vicodin, Oxycotin). The Executive Director of Recovery Revolution explained that treatment is more than just getting individuals off drugs which is a symptom of the problem, It's about treating the route of the problem. In the future, Recovery Revolution hopes to have the taping on their website. Thank you to Larry Holmes and Simply Wired for their support of Recovery Revolution, Inc.
Recovery Revolution, Inc attended the Two Rivers Health Foundation for their Crystal Cabaret at Riverview Golf Club in Easton, PA
Recovery Revolution, Inc supported Two River's Health and Wellness Foundation "Dental Initiative" by attending the Crystal Cabaret. Two River's is a wonderful organization that helps Northampton County to include the Slate Belt Region. They have given grants to support treatment programs to children, adolescents and adults. The Crystal Cabaret was a wonderful event with food, fun, and networking. People gathered, danced, and played games to entertain the crowd. This event was organized by Janet Mease. Thank you Two Rivers for being such a support to the community.

What a great time was had, not to mention even better deals that the community received at the April 19, 2008 Rummage Sale! Recovery Revolution's Sale raised over $850 in funds to support our expansion efforts in our Slate Belt Community of Bangor PA. You can only imagine how many items sold when all the items ranged from $.25 to $5. Thank you to all who donated and volunteered. Head's Up Program by the Philadelphia Police was done at Colonial Academy, orchestrated by Recovery Revolution
Colonial Academy, Wind Gap PA was the site on April 10, 2008 for the Philadelphia Police Departments Head's up program at Colonial Academy. Recovery Revolution, Inc orchestrated the assembly for this alternative school. This assembly brought many audience members to tears and hit home. The program is for drug and alcohol prevention which Recovery Revolution provides at the school in Wind Gap PA. Head's up combines music with pictures of crime scenes related to drug and alcohol use and gang violence. Officer Pagano lead the audience through a reality check of the streets of Philadelphia. Her passion and genuineness was evident to the viewers. She also had a mother who volunteered to talk about her own daughter's overdose.
